On our way home

25.8.15

Slept so well last night.
We chose Guesthouse Alicj because its 600m to the airport.
It’s a beautiful 3 storey detached house with a few rooms for guests.
The furniture and decor was all top quality, tea and coffee in the hallway and a private balcony.

The memory foam mattress was so comfortable and no uncomfy gaps down the centre like the rest of our stays.

We were brought breakfast at 9am and ate on the balcony.
Lovely fresh rolls, eggs, cheese spread and jam.
Walked to the airport, bit of a dirt track in places but took less than 10 minutes and arrived at 10am for our 11.20 flight.

Sarajevo airport is very small.
Currently 2 passengers missing for our flight. They can’t be far away!

Had 8.65 Bosnian Marks left…enough for an espresso and a hot chocolate.
So impressed we’ve managed to not end up with a load of random coins!

In true Pegasus tradition we’ve just boarded our 11.20 flight.
Time now 11.40.

Still….we have nearly 4 hours to kill in Istanbul so it doesn’t matter!

Arrived in Istanbul at 1.15pm which then became 2.15pm.
So only 3 hours left…
Bought raspberry vodka and Malibu in duty free and have been in Starbucks ever since, thoroughly enjoying caramel frappacinos.

Heaven.
Feels good being back in Turkey and just want to get home now.
We were hoping to pick our dog Honey up tonight but Charlie who is looking after her is going out, so have to wait til tomorrow.
Can’t wait, have missed her loads. Hopefully we will get cat cuddles, although Cyd said some holidaymakers over the back love our Martina, she’s been going in their house and they’re feeding her :0
Apparently they always feed her when they come over which explains why she went missing for days on end last year.
We were frantic and when we finally found her put a note on her collar not to feed her.
But at least we know she’s had lots of love even if she is totally disloyal!

Still waiting, seems to be a lot of delays around and our gates been changed and showing a 25 min delay.
There’s a really nasty looking fire in the distance 😦
Hopefully it’s behind the tall blocks of flats and isn’t anything serious.

Finally, finally home to our beloved Fethiye.
Doesn’t matter where we go, its always good to get back here.

Time to plan the next adventure 🙂
